Dr. Wolosh received her Ph.D. with distinction from Vanderbilt University in 1988. She completed a post graduate Family Therapy training course in 1994 from the Family Institute of Westchester. In 2011 she became certified in Family Based Treatment from the Pediatric and Adolescent Eating Disorder Training Unit. More recently in 2016 she became certified In Cognitive Behavior therapy- Enhanced for Eating disorders from the Oxford Credo Online training program.
For the last 20 plus years she has been in full time private practice helping individuals and families with a variety of different psychological issues. In addition to seeing clients, she has spoken at many parent, school and community groups about various topics relating to child development, parenting and eating disorders.
During the last 10 plus years she have developed a specialization in eating disorders. Stemming from her long standing interest in the power of families to help facilitate change, she became interested in the Maudsley or Family Based Treatment as a treatment option for helping children and teens recover from eating disorders . Since that time she has also been trained in CBT-E which is and effective tool for helping teens and adult in addressing a number of eating disorders including bulimia and binge eating disorder. Dr Wolosh is privileged to have successfully worked with many individuals and families during their eating disorder recovery journey.
She has also developed professional relationships with many physicians and other health care professionals who treat eating disorders. Having earned the confidence of this group of specialists, She has received many referrals from pediatricians and adolescent medicine specialists in the New York and New Jersey areas. Collaborating with these other medical specialists helps ensure that she is providing top level care for my clients and families.
