About Dr. Wolosh

I am a licensed clinical psychologist who has been practicing for over 25 years. After passing my doctoral qualifying exams "with distinction, " I received my Ph.D. in clinical psychology from Vanderbilt University, Nashville Tennessee in 1988. I completed my internship at the Rusk Institute for Rehabilitation Medicine at NYU. I later sought out advanced training in marital and family therapy at the Family Institute of Westchester between the years of 1991 to 1994.

Over the years, I have worked in a number of settings in the community including a day treatment program in Staten Island for children and at the counseling center at Morristown Memorial Hospital . For the last 15 years I have been in full time private practice. In addition to seeing clients, I have spoken at many parent, school and community groups about various topics relating to child development, parenting and eating disorders.

During the last 10 years I have developed a specialization in child and adolescent eating disorders. Stemming from my long standing interest in the power of families to help facilitate change, I became interested in the Maudsley or Family Based Treatment as a treatment option for helping children and teens recover from eating disorders . In 2011 I completed the training program for Family Based Treatment from the Training Institute for Child and Adolescent Eating Disorders. Since that time I am privileged to have successfully worked with many families to help their children recover. In the process

I have also developed professional relationships with many physicians and other health care professionals who treat eating disorders. Having earned the confidence of this group of specialists, I receive many referrals from pediatricians and adolescent medicine specialists in the New York and New Jersey areas. Collaborating with these other medical specialists helps ensure that I am providing top level care for my clients and families.
